6.   That CTG 95.6 and CTE 95.62 be given suitable recognition
               for their alertness in detecting from communications 
               failures, that a casualty may have occurred to the SARSI,
               and for taking prompt action to initiate search and rescue
               operations,

          7.   That R.M. MOATES, 388 73 71, USN be given a suitable award
               for his attempted rescue, in the water, of the injured QMC
               PARRISH, by towing him to BMC HERTZ who had gathered a 
               group by a Dan Buoy, although he (MOATES) was not himself
               equipped with a life jacket.

          8.   That the Bureau of Ships, and other cognizant offices,
               consider carefully the testimony of ChBosn BROWN and BMC
               HERTZ; especially the recommendation concerning the 
               necessity for a general announcing system on ATFs and,their
               recommendations for improving abandon ship technique by
               providing kits for boats and rafts containing communication
               and navigational gear.

          9.   That claims for personal losses submitted by the personnel 
               embarked on the SARSI be favorably considered.

         10.   That if salvage of the SARSI, and the classified [paper
               materials] to be impracticable, that salvage attempts by
               the enemy be [interfered with at] least until such time as
               the unaccounted for classified paper [materials has] been
               submerged long enough to become illegible.
